About

Hi! I’m Carrie Bock,
LPC-MHSP.

A Christ-follower, wife, and mother — and the host of the Christian Faith and OCD Podcast. I bring a calm, compassionate, and hopeful approach to my work, I’m direct and transparent, so there are no guessing games.

After years of providing weekly individual therapy, I moved to offering EMDR intensive therapy and online courses. My strength is lasering in on problems and coming up with a plan to resolve them. The intensive format has been the best fit because it gives me time to see themes and patterns emerge. It also allows the nervous system to not be rushed.

I am holistic in nature with a belief in mind, body, and soul healing. I believe God is the author of healing, and those in the healing professions partner with Him in the restoration business. My studies of psychology and the brain have strengthened the belief that God has hardwired us to heal with the right support. I seek to incorporate biblical principles at the level my clients are comfortable with.

About my lived experience

I haven’t experienced OCD personally, but I have lived experience with the things that often travel with it: anxiety, perfectionism, self-esteem issues, shame, and depression.

My own life has included foster parenting, an unwanted divorce, remarriage and parenthood, and walking through my husband’s rare medical disability. We live with chronic uncertainty, and God has taken us on a journey to learn to trust Him with all of it.

My guiding principles

Growth

Everyone can develop toward a different future.

Health

Physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness together.

Collaboration

Working together toward your goals, not mine.

Feedback

Purpose

Every intervention connects back to what brought you in.

Freedom

You stay in charge of what happens in your sessions.

Independence

The goal is functioning well without needing your therapist.

Ways to work together
